Flow Pattern and Resistance Characteristics of Gas–Liquid Two-Phase Flow with Foam under Low Gas–Liquid Flow Rate

To reduce the cost of arranging air foam flooding equipment at each wellhead, a method establishing centralized injection stations is proposed. The flow pattern and resistance characteristics mixtures in different initial conditions are studied. Experimental results indicate that probability density function stratified obtained by comparing stainless steel transparent pipes. If gas–liquid ratio kept constant, then shape remains unchanged both tubes. Meanwhile, under determined image recognition with function, formula for calculating pressure drop gas liquid two-phase horizontal upward pipes established. Compared experiments, error calculation small. Thus, proposed equations can be used to predict real flooding.
